About Workspot
What is Workspot?
Workspot is a hand-curated directory of cafes and coffee shops in the Phoenix metro area that are genuinely good for getting work done. Not just any place with Wi-Fi — spots that I've personally visited, tested, and would return to on a work day.
Each spot is tagged with what matters most when you're working remotely: Wi-Fi reliability, outlet availability, seating, and hours. The curator's notes on each page tell you what to order, where to sit, and what kind of session it's best for.
How spots are chosen
Every spot on this list has been visited in person. Before a place gets added, I check:
- Wi-Fi quality — I connect and actually test speeds, not just ask the barista
- ⚡Outlets — whether there are enough accessible power sources for a real work session
- 🪑Seating — how crowded it gets and whether you can reliably find a good spot
- 🔇Noise & vibe — some places are great for focused deep work; others are better for calls or casual sessions
Who's behind this
I'm a remote worker based in the Phoenix area who got tired of showing up to a cafe only to find the Wi-Fi down, every outlet taken, or the place closing at 2pm. Workspot started as a personal notes doc and turned into this — a resource I wish had existed when I started working remotely.
New spots get added as I discover them. If something has changed at a listed spot (hours, Wi-Fi, etc.) or you want to suggest a place, I'd love to hear about it.
